Why Veterinary?

"What do you want to study?" "What is your vocation?" "You have to decide what to do with your future." "A career is for all life, think about". Money, family, vocation, happiness... Who said that decide what to study was easy?

For me it wasn't easy to take this decision. I like a lot of diferent things and I'm always very intense in all that I like. That's why I like 4 or 5 careers. Why did I decide finally to become a Vet? My love for animals. Since I was a child that I have a very good relationship with animals, like a special conection. Thatswhy I take the choose to be a Vet. I always think that animals, in special pets or captive animales, depend on our care. And I think that in this career I can conect other things that I like, for example psychology and psychiatry. How? In work with animals and children or people with diferent problems in Zootherapy. Or in research of neurological problems.

Now that I'm in, I think that Veterinary is a beautiful, but hard career. One of the reasons is maybe that we study a lot of different animals and organisms. And be in one of the best universities of Chile, The University of Chile, is an extra exigency too. Until now, in my opinion, the university is very good, but not only beacuse of the good level of the career, also here the students have "voice & vote" and that is very important to me.

I hope that day by day I love more my career. In moment I try to learn and participate in all what I can in fact to be a better professional and a better person too.
